Rajasthan Tourism and Municipal Board of Mount Abu organise The Winter Fest at Mount Abu every year during the last week of December. This three days (29th-31st Dec) colorful festival celebrates the warmth and cheerfulness of the people of hill station, and welcomes the tourists from different parts of the country.
Mount Abu is a fabulous place for a great vacation. This hill station comes alive during the Winter Festival with eclectic and riveting performances by the talented artistes of Rajasthan. Classical as well as folk singers mesmerize listeners with their songs. The Gair, Ghooomar and Daph folk dances put up by the dancers also do not fail to thrill anyone.
A large number of diyas or lamps are floated on the Nakki Lake. This ceremony is known by the name of Deepdaan, the sight of so many lighted lamps floating on the river is indeed a visual delight.
Also there is a band Show, Boat Race, Skating Race, Panihari Matka Race, Tug of War between Foreign Tourists and Domestic Tourists, Mehndi Mandana, Musical Chair Race, Deepotsava & in the last Fireworks are very attractive to watch and participate. Performances are put up not only by the folk artistes of Rajasthan but also by those of Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. The spectators are sure to have a very enjoyable time watching them. The grand finale of the festival is made brighter by a display of dazzling fire works all the three days
